John studied art at St Paul’s College, Cheltenham under the tutelage of the late Harold Sayer ARCA, RWA, RE.
After teaching for five years John then lived in Hong Kong, one of the most visually exciting cities in the world. Works were produced in watercolour, gouache and collage. Further travel has resulted in paintings from Europe, Middle and Far East, North America, Australia and Scandinavia as well, of course, as those of local interest.
After a fulfilling career in education, John has now been able to fully focus on his painting and still enjoys it’s challenge and rewards.
