Anna Perlin grew up in the middle of the Oxfordshire countryside. Now based in Hertfordshire the inspiration for her paintings comes from subjects she has a passion for and a regular theme is the British countryside.

Originally graduating in Textile Design, Anna paints full time and has shown her work at the Mall Galleries and Islington Art Fair.

Her paintings don't use a set colour palette, instead new colours are mixed for each painting as she enjoys exploring the ever changing British seasons and weather. Often free from human presence, her work creates a window onto the calm and peace of the country side.

Texture is an important part of her paintings and to create movement she uses a palette knife, rather than brushes, to put paint onto the canvas.
