Justine spent her early years in St. Agnes, Cornwall and comes from an artistic background. All her life she has been involved in various forms of art expression.
After graduating in printed textiles (BA Hons.) from Middlesex University in 1993 she worked as a textile designer for a number of years.
As well as her textile work, Justine has also been painting professionally. Her style and influences have varied through time and this is reflected in the variety and experimental nature of her work, which can range from abstract impressionism to landscapes and still life painting.
Colour and texture is always paramount in her approach and a free use of oils, gloss, acrylics and other media gives her work a textured, layered appearance in order to create depth and a sense of space.
She often uses a combination of rich colours, which contrast with delicately drawn images to produce a very unique and compelling style of painting.
Justine's work has been exhibited in the Mall Galleries, The Battersea Contemporary Art Fair, and a selection of London Galleries.
